Students currently enrolled, faculty, staff and administrators of SPUQC may borrow materials for home use from the Circulation Section upon presentation of their SPUQC IDs. The number of books that may be borrowed and the duration of the loan vary based on user status.

All of the loans are renewable if no one else has requested/reserved the books. After 3 days, a book may be recalled if someone else asks for it. In such a case, the item should be returned promptly. This rule applies to all kinds of users with borrowing privileges.

Requests

Requests for book recalls, reservations and searches are done at the Circulation Counter and are limited to current faculty, staff and students of the University.

Recalls

All loans are subject to recall. Any book borrowed after a week can be recalled if the material is requested by another borrower. Upon recall, the iterm should be returned promptly. Recalled books not returned within two (2) days following the receipt of the Recall Notice will be fined P5.00 per day thereafter until these are returned.

Reservations

Only books that are currently on-loan are qualified for reservation. A request placed for an item that is already charged out will automatically curtail the privilege of the existing borrower for book renewal. The priority to take out the material is given to rhe requestor. The requestor will call the Library Staff to inquire when the material becomes available. Reserved materials will be held for two (2) days for pick-up after which the book is shelved for general circulation.

Fines

Only after returning overdue books and settling coresponding library fines may a clientele be allowed to loan out the books again. All payments are done at the Finance Office.
a. General & Filipiniana Collection - P5.00 per day excluding Sundays and Holidays.
b. Reserved Books - P5.00 per hour; P50.00 per day
c. Classroom Use Only - P10.00 per hour; P80.00 per day. (Reference materials,      Periodicals, CDs, the Holy Bible)

Regardless of user status, unreturned overdue books as well as unresolved financial accounts in the library, including fines and lost books, may result in temporary loss of borrowing privileges until items are returned or replacement charges and/or fines are paid.

List of students with unsettled library accounts at the end of the semester are sent to the Registrar's Office for diploma, transcript, grades and registration holds.

The Library will not sign the clearance forms of students with accountabilities.
