Pre-School Program

Learning and fun rolled into one!

      The SPUQC Preschool Program is inspired by the teachings of people who are experts in childrens' intellectual, social and emotional development, such as Jean Piaget, Maria Montessori, Howard Gardner and Rudolf Steiner.

Goals and Objectives:

Every Paulinian child is expected to grow in a holistic formation that will develop emotionally, physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually. As such, he/she is:

INTELLECTUAL
• communicates intellectually in both oral and written form.
• recognizes one's thought and expresses one's idea effectively through formal and informal compositions.

PHYSICAL
• Participates actively in all programs and activities and enjoy learning white playing.

SPIRITUAL
• Recognizes God's existence and creation
• Lives her/his sacramental liturgical and moral life rooted in her/his deep faith in Christ.

SOCIAL
• Appreciates oneself, family, friends, schoolmates, community helpers and other people. • Enjoys himself/herself in a prepared learning environment as an extension of the home. • Discovers the value of working and learning independently and with others.
• Strengthen the necessary skills needed for the development of logical thing king and      problem solving skills.
• Exposes himself/herself to different activities that will enhance his/her talents and skills. • Expresses creativity in praying, reading, acting, drawing, counting, writing, talking and playing.

Role of the Learners
It is our aim to assist in the total development of children, cognizant of the fact that a child's intellectual capabilities develop more rapidly from birth to six years than at any other time in his/her life. This is the age at which the young child can absorb all information without inhibition. Children learn spontaneously and with joy, making the learning years a period of great importance in their education... We believe that the children of today will be responsible for the future. It is then vital to develop childrens' natural curiosity and to help them achieve their maximum potential while instilling a lifelong motivation for continuous learning which will definitely serve them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
