Admission Guidelines

SPUQC considers applications from all high school graduates who manifest at least an average academic ability and who pass the process of admission.


Criteria For New Students

  1. Satisfactory mark in the entrance exam
    • Passing the written entrance examination does not ensure automatic acceptance.
    • A student who gets conditional mark in the entrance examination may be accepted if he/she meets all the other requirements but he/she will be placed on probation for one semester.
    • A student does not reach the cut-off mark in the entrance examination may be accepted if he/she meets all the other requirements but he/she will be placed on probation for one year.
  2. A general average of 80% and no grade lower than 80% in English/Math/Science.
    • Criteria for applicants to the Nursing Program:
      • General Average of 85% with no grade below 80% in any subject;
      • X-Ray and Medical Certificate of fitness;
      • and Immunization Record
    • Specific programs may set a minimum grade requirement
    • Conduct grade not lower than B or 85%
  3. Satisfactory performance in the interview
  4. Favorable results of physical examination
  5. Complete admission requirements

Admission Procedure

  1. Present the requirements to the Academics Office, and if qualified, secure a permit to take the entrance exam.
  2. Pay the application and testing fees to the Finance Office
  3. Present the official receipt of payment at the Guidance Office, secure a testing form and Personal Data File
  4. Complete the testing form to secure the examination permit and testing schedule.
  5. Bring and submit on the examination day the completed filled-out Personal Data file and recommendation form secured from the Guidance Office.
  6. Take the entrance test at the Guidance Testing Center.
  7. After the examination, get the schedule of your medical & dental check-up and interview from the Guidance Office.
  8. Submit yourself for medical and dental check-up at the school clinic.
  9. Proceed to the Program Director’s Office for the interview.
  10. Secure a permit to enroll from the interviewing officer/Program Director if you pass the interview.
  11. Present your permit to enroll at the Registrar’s Office for Initial Enrolment. Secure a student number.
  12. Pay the Initial Enrolment fee at the Finance Office. Initial Enrollment Fee is non-refundable but is deductible from the total fees.
  13. Return the permit to enroll form at the Registrar’s Office to confirm your enrolment.

Admission Requirements

PRE-SCHOOL & GRADE SCHOOL

  1. Certified true copy of Report Card (Not Applicable for Nursery)
  2. Recommendation Letter (Not Applicable for Nursery)
  3. Four copies of 1x1 size picture
  4. Original and photocopy of Baptismal and Birth Certificates
  5. One long brown envelope
  6. Age Req't by June: Nursery - 3 1/2 to 4; Kinder - 4 1/2 to 5; Prep - 5 1/2 to 6

HIGH SCHOOL

  1. Certified true copy of Form 138 (Grade School Report Card)
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  3. Five copies of 1x1 size picture
  4. Original and photocopy of Baptismal and Birth Certificates
  5. One long brown envelope

COLLEGE

  1. Certified true copy of latest grades (Form 138 - Report Card) or PEPT/NFE Certificate
  2. Original and photocopy of Birth and Baptismal certificates
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character from Class Adviser of Guidance Counselor
  4. Four (4) latest ID pictures (size 1x1 with name written at the back)
  5. 1 long brown envelope and 1 long folder

TRANSFER STUDENTS:

  1. Incoming sophomore
  2. No grade below 80%
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Dean/Principal or Guidance Counselor
  4. Passing mark in the entrance examination, physical examination and interview
  5. TRUE COPY of grades (no Incomplete or failing grades)
  6. Original copy of Honorable Dismissal
  7. Original and photocopy of Baptismal and Birth Certificates
  8. SPUQC is only the second school
  9. Four (4) latest ID pictures (size 1x1 with name written at the back)
  10. 1 long brown envelope and 1 long folder
  11. Nursing applicants should pass the Nursing Students Qualifying Exam and sign a waiver

FOREIGN STUDENTS:

  1. Birth Certificate/Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)
  2. Passport
  3. Student Visa
    • Notice of Acceptance from the School with official dry seal
    • Letter from the School Registrar requesting the issuance of 9(F) Student Visa to applicant
    • Five (5) copies of the 1998 revised Original Personal History Statement (PHS).
    • Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records, duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or consulate in the Applicant's Country of Origin.
    • A notarized affidavit of support and proof of adequate financial support
  4. Payment of application and entrance examination fees.
  5. Accomplished application form, SPUQC Form B and confidential student recommendation form
  6. Satisfactory result in the entrance and physical examination and interviews

CENTER FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT STUDENTS:

  1. High School report card
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Class Adviser of High School Principal
  3. Four (4) latest ID pictures (size 1x1 with name written at the back)
  4. Original and photocopy of Baptismal and Birth Certificates
  5. 1 long brown envelope
  6. Passing mark in the entrance examination and interview

Schedule

Acceptance of Application starts in August prior the School Year
Entrance Examination Dates by Schedule, upon submission of application
Release of Entrance Examination Result 3-5 working days after the exam
